How it works

Your ticket is a gift.

Every pop-up supports a different San Diego charity. Here's the whole idea in three steps.

  1. One

    Give

Pick something from that month's charity Amazon wish list and show proof, or bring new items to class.

  2. Two

    Dance

Ninety minutes on a Sunday afternoon: a proper stretch, then choreography broken down for every level.

  3. Three

    Make a difference

Every gift goes to a local charity, and you leave feeling beautiful, confident and celebrated.

There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them.

Meet your instructor

Hi, I’m Nicole.

I came back to dance after about seven years away. One heels class later I was hooked, and now I choreograph and teach every pop-up.

Before this I worked in bridal, where I loved helping people feel their most beautiful, confident, loved, celebrated.

It's Giving Dance is that same feeling, with more sequins and a cause behind every class. We're all about kindness, community, and a little sparkle. You might also know me from Better Than Perfect, the podcast I co-host with my husband John.

The most beautiful dance is a life spent lifting others as you move.
Good to know

Questions, answered.

Do I need dance experience?

No. Every pop-up is all levels. We start with stretching, then learn the choreography together, step by step.

Do I have to dance in heels?

Heels are always optional. Jazz shoes, socks or bare feet are all welcome. Wear what lets you move and feel good.

How does the donation ticket work?

Each month supports a different San Diego charity. Buy an item from that charity's Amazon wish list and show proof at check-in, or bring new items with you. That's your entry.

When and where are classes?

Usually on a Sunday, 3:00–4:30 PM, at Madhouse Dance in Morena, San Diego. Each pop-up runs about 90 minutes.

How do I sign up?

Sign-ups run through Eventbrite. You'll find the current event at linktr.ee/itsgivingdance.
